Financial Services provides services to schools and board departments in the areas of finance, accounting, payroll, purchasing, contract and grants administration.
For the 2016-2017 school year, the HRSB will manage a General Fund budget of $451,811,000, of which $302,664,900 comes from the Province of Nova Scotia, $131,935,300 comes from the Halifax Regional Municipality and the remainder from other sources.
The HRSB will also manage a Supplementary Fund budget of $15,548,800 (provided by the HRM) which is spent equitably across the entire region.
