ContinuousSchoolImprovementConnuousSchoolImprovementCSIistheprocessthatallschoolsintheHRSBusetoguidetheirschoolimprovementwork.AttheverycoreoftheCSIprocessisstudentlearningandachievement.Teachersandschooladministratorslookatstrengthsandareasforgrowthinstudentachievementandtheprocessesbeingusedattheschoolandclassroomlevel.TheHRSBCSIprocessgenerallyinvolvesave-yearcyclewhichbeginswithaschoolself-assessment.Asschoolsengageinthisreecononstudentachievementandteacherpraccestheydevelopschoolimprovementgoalsandacon-orientedstepsthatteacherswilltaketoimprovetheirinstruconandassessmentpracces.Thisallowsstatodevelopaninformedplanforprofessionallearningaswellasthecolleconanduseofdatathroughouttheprocess.Thisdataisusedtomonitorandsupportimprovementovermeforbothstudentsandteachers.AstheyengageintheCSIprocessteachersworktogetherasprofessionallearningcommuniesPLCstoimplementtheschoolplanandcontributetoschoolimprovement.Thefocusoftheirworkisonimprovingstudentlearning.Todosotheyidenfyandaddressgapsinachievementforallstudentsspecicgroupsofstudentsandorindividualstudents.ProfessionalLearningCommuniesaretheenginethatdrivesCSI.HowareHRSBschoolsimprovingEveryHRSBschoolisfocusingonconnuousschoolimprovement.VisittheSchoolReportsseconofthisreporttolearnhowyourchildsschoolisimproving.Schoolsidenedasimprovingschoolshavegathereddatatodemonstrateimprovementintheirgoalareas.HRSBschoolsareinvolvedinave-yearcyclewhichbeginswithgoalidencaoninyearoneandconcludeswithareviewinyearvetodeterminethelevelofimprovementtheschoolhasachieved.In2012-201335HRSBschoolswererecognizedasimprovingschools.In2014-2015anothergroupofschoolswillparcipateinthereviewprocess.Everyimprovementjourneyisdierentandeachschoolisdemonstrangimprovementindierentways.Goal3Toachieveequitablelearningopportunitiesforallstudents
