-HRSBJuniorHighSchoolTheBreakfastProgramatourschoolhasgivenachanceforstudentstotakeownershipoftheirclub.TwoofourGrade9studentscomeinearlyeverymorningtohelpcookprepareawarmbreakfastfortheirpeers.TheBreakfastProgramalsohelpsstudentswhodonthaveachanceandoreconomicresourcestoeatbreakfastathome.Thebreakfastprogramhashadaposiveimpactonstudentsacademicachievementandgeneralwellbeing.Whenstudentscometoschoolhungrytheyareirritablehavedicultyfocusingonacademicsandthusmakingitmorediculttoreachsuccess.Thebreakfastprogramprovidesanutriousmealinthemorningwhichfostershealthandsmulaontothebrainenergyforthebodyandeasetothetemperament.Asaresultstudentsaremorelikelytohavesuccess.LastlytheBreakfastProgramishighlysupportedbyteachersandadminasstudentsaremorerecepvetolearnwhentheystarttheirdayonafullstomach.SchoolGardensSchoolgardenshavebeenpoppingupallovertheHRSB.Withover25gardensstudentsandstaaregengtheirhandsdirtyandreapingthemanyrewardsofgrowingtheirownfood.Studentsingradesprimaryto12arebeinggiventheopportunitytolearnaboutagricultureintheclassroomandinthegarden.Schoolsapproachtheirgardensinavarietyofwayswithdierentclassesparcipangfamilieshelpingoutandinsomecasesgroupsdedicatedtomaintainingtheplots.Regardlessofthesetupstudentsarebenengfromthishands-onlearningexperiencebywatchingsomethingtheyplantgrowandthenharvesngtheproduceasaresult.
