Financial Services

Financial Services provides services to schools and board departments in the areas of finance, accounting, payroll, purchasing, contract and grants administration.

For the 2017-2018 fiscal year, the HRCE will manage a General Fund budget of $527,978,400, of which $376,565,600 comes from the Province of Nova Scotia, $135,489,700 comes from the Halifax Regional Municipality and the remainder from other sources.

The HRCE will also manage a Supplementary Fund budget of $15,068,800 (provided by the HRM) which is spent equitably across the entire region.
