Update for families: Tentative Agreement Reached

Update for families: Tentative Agreement Reached

Familes,

I am pleased to share that after several days of bargaining, HRCE and CUPE have reached a tentative agreement. It has been unanimously endorsed by CUPE’s executive team.

What’s next?

The tentative agreement is confidential until CUPE members are provided with details. In the coming days, they will have the opportunity to vote.

What does this mean for families?

We expect to know the results by Sunday, June 18.

If the members accept the agreement, all Pre-Primary children, and students who have not been able to safely attend school without EPAs at work, can return to school on Monday, June 19.

I will provide an update as soon as new information becomes available.

All thanks,

Steve Gallagher
Regional Executive Director
